An ebay business seller, has a listing for a box set of cds, there are five in the collection.
I messaged the seller to ask if the discs had been tested, they said they do not have the facilities. and the bidder should be aware of this. The item is listed as "used" in "good" condition, likely the seller having recieved the box set as an unwanted public donation. I pointed out to the seller, that "good" condition states "No skipping on the CD or DVD, when played". How can they know that if the disc is untested, unplayed?
No reply so far.
I think, that if wants to sell an item on ebay as "good", they should test play the disc, there is software to enable this easily, but obviously they have not looked into this. Otherwise, they should sell the item in their shop.
What do you think?

Forgot to add: No where on the listing does it state that the discs are untested/unplayed.

Yes, they should test them to then have an accurate description for their buyers, but no one can enforce them to do so.
If on purchase the discs do skip, not play well, buyers can receive a full refund under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy.

I think that they are an amazing charity (they raised my father-in-law and his twin sister when their parents could not afford to keep them) but they just do not have the staff to test donated items in this way. They have 6,694 items for sale.
If you want to buy tested items, find another seller.
Or, if you take a chance and buy from this seller, you are fully covered by the MBG if the item is faulty.

There is means to test them without having to sit and listen to them...The software is free, you would think a business would be more professional.

They are not Music Magpie.
They are a charity.
I would not expect a charity to be more professional; I would cut them some slack. So, I think we will have to agree to differ.

Sure, they are a worthwhile Charity and I do not think they'd want to misslead people. As I said above, I use software that checks the disc without having to sit and listen through. The software is free.

This could also be about them maximising their profits by being "professional".

You are obviously nervous of buying these items ,
Maybe find item from a different seller.
