Unordered 'order'

I entered a site,did not place an order,and found what I wanted cheaper elsewhere. Then found I had placed an order,paid with a card,entered its CVC but of course I had done none of these things - can I find a way to ask ebay for an explanation? No - its AI bot only goes so far and then that's it,keep asking to speak to a live person but no joy. Is this usual?

While I suppose there is a a remote possibility of you having bought in error and paid by card, I can see  no way the CVC could have been stored and used except by you.

Just ask seller to cancel!

Thanks for that but I had not authorised any card usage,still less used a
CVC - I then saw ebay had kept details of 4 cards of one sort or another so
have deleted all of them.
