Unable to send address to collector of item.

You would think that with an item being collection only that ebay would allow the seller to send their address to the buyer once paid!    I have managed to send my phone number and did put some info, number and postcode. I think it may be another waster though as I've had no response. I tried the phone number they have on their ebay page but it is not valid.

They should do. 

I have recently bought 2 collection items, in both cases the seller was able to send me their address with no issues.  I did contact them first though, and I did it through the purchase page where it told me to contact the seller to arrange collection.

I think I will have to give up on selling anything for collection because although I would prefer cash on collection it's stated it is paid and as I do not do Apps (I'm ancient) I doubt I will be able to receive the money IF THEY  do ever turn up to collect. Thanks for your comment.

If they turn up they must give you the 6 digit collection code which you can manually enter using a PC.  You will still get paid even without the code but lose some seller protection. 

You don't need the app, or a phone.

Cash on collection is no longer allowed.

Thank you, I must remember next time (if there is one) to make sure and get the code. He did show me his phone - which was covered in apps, but didn't seem to think I needed a code.  He said the money was in ebay. I said I had asked for cash because if he came and decided the machine was not what he thought it would be he could just leave without paying. Oh well, we live and learn. I was worried that ebay would assume it hadn't been collected and refund the money.

Ebay won't make that assumption but if the buyer makes a claim that they didn't collect it you won't have the evidence that ebay expects you to have.
