Unable to register Amazon Fire HD 8 (10th Generation) tablets

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping for some advice please. I bought two Amazon Fire HD 8 (10th Generation) tablets from eBay as Christmas presents for my kids. Unfortunately, they were delivered yesterday, despite the listing stating delivery before 25th December.

 

Since receiving them, I’ve been unable to register either tablet to my Amazon account — I keep getting a “Registration error” message. I contacted Amazon Customer Service and went through several troubleshooting steps with them, but none worked. Amazon advised that the issue needs to be resolved by the seller.

 

I’ve tried contacting the seller multiple times via eBay’s messaging system but haven’t had any response so far. The kids are understandably anxious to start using their tablets, and I’m feeling quite frustrated with the situation.

 

Has anyone experienced something similar or can advise on the best next steps?

If Amazon can't help I'd be inclined to return them for a full refund.

 

Open an eBay return and select 'Item is defective'. You may need to open a return for each tablet or, if on the same order, tick the box that shows which items you're returning.
