Troublesome buyer

Heloooo everyone, need to vent lol

Been on eBay for over 20 years, 800+ positive 100% feedback, equal between selling and buying.

Sold a customer ...0 feedback a product on 17 Dec last year promising I'd try and get it to her by Xmas.

It arrived Christmas Eve and she left fantasic feedback ".Thank you for being so efficient and helpful. Delivery was quick and bike is terrific, better than expected! Thanks to you!............all was well until she contacted me saying the bike wasn't right and wanted a refund or replacent, as my feedback is so important to me and I had checked the bike as I always do, and also wrapped an palletised it I offered her a partial refund of £200.

Long story short I have had to supply a pallet and wrapping service for her and pay for a return. eBay were in no way helpful in this process, so much so that even although we all know ebay are biased toward sellers I am seriously considering shutting down my account, which is such a shame as I've met loads of people online who are great customers....what do you guys think

You are trading and running a business from a private account and denying your buyers their legal right to return items to you for any reason.  (Private sellers don't have more than a dozen 'spare' spin bikes to sell.)

i think you should register your account as a business account and have a returns policy which conforms with the Consumer Rights Act.
