Tricked into closing a case

Hi everyone I'm wondering if you can help me. I opened a case with eBay as a chair that I ordered for £700 I did not receive. The seller said that if I close the case as it's bad for their account they would refund me the money. I didn't know how the system works so I complied. Now the seller won't return my messages. I have the string of messages from them proving that they agreed to give me a refund, when they didn't give me a refund I open the case, And then the messages saying they will give me the refund once I close the case. Please somebody help me because £700 is a lot of money.

See if ebay can do anything.  You can contact them by requesting a callback on here:

If not contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback.   Best of luck.

if you paid by PayPal you have 180 days from purchase to open a not received case.
