Transit damaged

I sold some angel cards x8 packs as used items

the buyer paid for delivery and they then wrote to say that the items arrived badly damaged in transit and that one of the books inside the box was used and torn and broken and a pack was missing

I explained that I had even sent her a 9th pack as was last one so as gift to her however it was used goods and i apologise if the torn page i refund her £5 for that however it’s why the items was hugely discounted as not new

as I didn’t pay for the shipping postage I believe she has to claim via eBay for that as she paid for it and is covered in buyers protection where do I stand now for my money payment for the goods sent out

can someone help ? Explain what to do

She can open a not as described case, you have to provide a return label and on return refund in full.

The buyer needs to open a return case.

She must use the reason 'damaged in transit'.

As long as you used Simple Delivery, Ebay will refund the buyer and tell you that you do not to need anything further.

If you have not yet been paid for this sale, they will pass the buyer's money to you shortly.

If you posted using Simple Delivery then you have seller protection for goods damaged in transit.  The buyer needs to open a case using the money back guarantee and put the reason as damaged in transit.  Ebay should then handle any refund and you get the sale proceeds.

This process has absolutely nothing to do with the buyer protection fee.
