Who told you the seller does not exist? If eBay have removed the seller from their site, then if the item does not arrive a reasonable time after the item's last estimated date for delivery, contact Customer Services for them to open a case for you for item not received, or they may issue a refund immediately.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Your seller still exists, has not been removed by eBay and your spectrum analyser is still displayed as a sold item on their listing page.
Buyers cannot cancel purchases, they can only request cancellation. It would be best to start by trying to contact your seller and sort things out.
