I raised a query shortly before 08:00 this morning on the forum and had kind helpful replies.
I just went to message the buyer and discovered 8 days of messages with the buyer are missing in eBay App messages - they are not there and not archived.
My auction ended two days ago, and shortly after the auction I dropped my phone and badly damaged an already damaged screen.
I managed to send messages to the buyer while I set up another phone, for a number of hours.
Now all messages exchanged with the buyer prior to auction plus those following the auction are not showing in my messages or have been archived.
It took a while to set up the app on another device but it is the same eBay account, same user ID and bank details etc.
The old phone's screen is so badly damaged I can only see 75% of the screen so it's not operational.
