Suspicious buyer behaviour

I recently listed a pair of new trainers which are covered by embay's authenticity guarantee as Buy it now, and a buyer made an offer for the amount I had asked for, sending me a message to email him separately - he wanted the item posting to his cousin in the UK and he is based in Germany? I accepted the offer but am now nervous about emailing him? Naturally he is yet to pay for the items?? Any advice?

Only ever use Ebay messages to contact potential buyers.

Giving personal email details, allowing Whatsapp messages etc. is just asking to be scammed.

Message your buyer (through Ebay messages) and make it really clear that once the shoes have been paid for through Ebay checkout, you will send them to the authenticator who will then post them on to the address used at checkout by the buyer.

You do not email him,   you do not post anywhere until eBay send you a message that the buyer has paid and then eBay will send you the name and address to post to on the order details for the item.  Post to no other.

Your buyer has not paid so the item will remain on sale until they do,  or someone else now is able to buy your item.  It saves cancelling the item for non payment after a 4 day period.

Listen to no excuses from this buyer and only accept eBay's message that this buyer has paid, though I have a feeling they won't , so watch out for fake messages from them pretending to have paid.  An eBay message is quite clearly set out to explain when payment has been made.
