Stop eBay opening in out of date app

Can anyone help even though I’ve deleted eBay app on my iPhone 7 when ever I try to open eBay on Google chrome it tries to open eBay in app then I get an update message I click that and it just shuts eBay down as my iOS version not compatiable anymore and I can’t afford a new phone just to use eBay anyway I can sort this issue

Thank you for your post.

As part of an app update back in February, versions 6.191 and older of the eBay app are no longer supported by devices not using iOS 17 and Android 10. Earlier operating systems date back several years and are now no longer able to support the latest eBay experience. 

On IOS there should be an option to touch and hold a browser link and choose don't open in the app or open which should help it to open in the browser.

Thank you for your reply I can’t seem to find the option to not own in browser because as soon as I type eBay into my browser or open a eBay link from gmail it goes straight to the out dated app and says tap to update and if I do tap or even don’t tap to update the eBay page automatically codes and this happens every time I cannot use eBay in browser as well as app now

Type ebay.co.uk into browser.

Do not use any link or search engine.

I do that and eBay loads but as soon as I search for something in eBay it
opens the app and if I open from an email it opens through the app the app
is now totally in installed and it still opens stuffing in app
