Started a return, cancelled it because wrong reason selected now can't start again

Hi

Please could someone help. A buyer started a return but selected the wrong reason for returning so cancelled the return. Now when they try to start the return again the system says that this can't be done.

Does anyone know if this is correct and if so is there a way around it?

That is correct, once a return has been closed another eBay claim cannot be opened they may try Paypal if used or their bank/credit card for a chargeback or return.

As a business seller your details are on your listing and you can work with the buyer yourself with the return.
