I sold an item as the buyer wanted to know if it would fit so visited and paid cash, I’ve ended the listing but do I need to notify eBay, if so how do I do so as I don’t want issues with my account

You did an off ebay deal and accepted cash, which is now against the rules.

I would avoid 'notifying' ebay any more than you have already.

Thanks for the reply, I was messaged through eBay and responded via my account but want to ensure everything is done properly, so the item was sold through eBay

Actually you did not as you state that you "ended the listing".

You cannot now make it a sale through ebay, as you ended it unsold.

Telling ebay what you have done will get you suspended.

The good news is buyer has no protection through the money back guarantee, and no feedback can be left.
