I sold an old footie shirt a couple of weeks ago for £40.
it should of been delivered on the 8th November by Evri Courier.
Buyer notified me yesterday (10th) to say Evri have messed up and i should contact them....
eBay states it has been delivered.
i checked Evri app which states out for delivery. failed attempt 8th due to vehicle breaking down.
i have esculated to the delivery as urgent which they agreed to do.
i informed buyer and he was happy saying hopfully will turn up.
no mention of a refund.
Then today whilst i am at work eBay have refunded the buyer the full amount stating not delivered. Turns out the buyer opened a refund case this morning stating i agreed to refund him as it has been lost.
i have checked the app and it clearly states out for delivery and will be delieverd today!
so now the buyer has his money back and a free shirt!

Once buyer opens item not received case, you have 3 days to prove delivery, buyer can then escalate to ebay.
Ebay don't accept in transit.
If item is now delivered, you have to work with buyer to get item returned or repay,
This can't be done through ebay.

Oh i know the rules. But on the same day the case was open Ebay closed it refunded them with 2 hours. I was at work and didn't get notification.
However I appealed and won. Got the money back.

Good to know you won appeal.
Ebay may have done curtousy refund, but at least you didn't lose money.
