So i just sold the last (i thought) of one item i have on ebay, but it's telling me the buyer has purchased 2.
Is this possible ?
I had to refund a not received item (same item) last week and was wondering if after the refund does this item get added back to my stock count ?
Not sure how its possible (could be a miscount by me) but wondering how this should play out ?
I am a private seller so do i contact the buyer and ask to cancel the order and relist the correct amount of said item ?
I don't see how to cancel part of the order, is this even possible ?
thanks for any help you guys can give

First of all PRIVATE sellers do not have stock and sell new items, so your problem is partly down to this as you can hardly ask ebay for assistance when you are selling illegally. You are competing unfairly with genuine business sellers who do not have the benefit of free selling.
Selling items you do not have, can cause serious problems if you have to cancel sales, as it will give you defects, and ebay expect no more than a 2%defect rate.
You also need to read this which was in the announcement about free selling fees for PRIVATE sellers.
More steps to address false private sellers
At eBay, we are dedicated to ensuring a fair and equitable marketplace for all business sellers. To achieve this, we monitor trading activities, and we’ll continuously help business sellers using a private account to transition to a business account, or restrict selling activity as necessary. In addition, we’ve reduced the number of free listings available to private sellers.

ok thanks for the reply, i use the word stock to mean items i am selling, selling illegally seems a bit strong a term for someone selling items they have on ebay occasionally. When the items are sold i wont be acquiring more items
i guess i should remove the items i have from sale incase i get into trouble, i wouldn't dream of competing unfairly with anyone on ebay.
thanks
