Can someone please explain how it works? I had the Simple Deliveryoption. I chose the QR code route and snapped a photo on my phone. I then clicked on something that said 'nearest options in your area'. It showed me 2 corner shops close by. The code would not work at any. The guy at the shop said 'it says Royal Mail. which it does. But I'm sure I've read somewhere else on Ebay about a seller saying they're annoyed because they CAN'T post via Royal Mail.
My questions are:
Is Royal Mail an option with the Simple Delivery?
If I now print off a label with Ebay and decide to use that rather than the QR code am I charged?
At what point am I charged with the QR code? Is it when the code is scanned and accepted by the place delivering it?
Do I have to do any of this - can I not just weigh my item and post it myself at the post office as normal? I did think I had done this when I selected "Postage Only - Post Items Direct to Buyers' option but then on my listings Click and Collect and Standard Tracked delivery appears.
Sorry for going on! Thank you.

Royal Mail is an option with Simple Delivery.
You can print the label and put it on your parcel or take the parcel and the QR code to the Post Office.
You are not charged.
Your buyer has paid Ebay direct for postage and the money does not go through your Ebay account.
You cannot choose your own postage. Unless you list in exempt categories like jewellery, all of your items will default to Simple Delivery.
If you don't use the label or the QR code you can send the item at your own expense.
The buyer would eventually get a refund of the postage they paid to Ebay but you can't get your postage cost back.
