Simple delivery refunds

A simple delivery has been lost, buyer has requested a refund, do i refund them or do ebay resolve it?

First thing is to check the tracking for the status of the item, if it shows as still in transit ask the buyer to open an item not received claim and eBay will issue the refund and you keep the payment.
