Simple delivery - flawed....avoid!

I have recently sold a couple of items and used the simple delivery option. I took both items to the post office and found out that the item which is clearly a 'small parcel' had been processed as a large letter. V embarrassing.

Raised issue with eBay yesterday and they are going to get back to me. Let's see how long that takes.....

In the meantime, I've had to pay for the postage again via royal mail. My advice is avoid the simple delivery option. It is yet another reason to stop using eBay and look for alternates.

It will be mandatory from 15th April.

Sellers will have to be careful when they list items to make sure they have the correct size option.

But it does look like only way to avoid this system designed by and for the sole benefit of ebay, is when they say what is a low value item so that it can be avoided.

When ADVANCED POSTAGE appeared I thought they had seen sense, as ADVANCED to me means better, but oh no go for a more profitable, at least for ebay, inferior “scheme”.

I was told a low price item has to be under £10 AND less than 100g

So 4 postcards sold for £9.00 would be low price but a pair of shoes sold for £5.00 wouldn't be,confusing or what??
