I'll try again and would ask the so called experts from judging me with their unhelpful comments!
How can I get a refund from eBay for their nefarious postage charges when I have bought postage directly from Royal Mail or in many cases used postage stamps and they also charge me an outrageous additional fee?
If the buyer is within 20 miles from me I also deliver personally, usually the same day, but again eBay are charging me postage.
TIA

You can cancel an unused Simple Delivery label here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
but you'll only get a refund if the postage you use is trackable and you add that tracking to ebay.
To do that first mark the item as dispatched by opening the original SD label (it will remain unused). Then add the new tracking number via View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow > Add Tracking. That has to be done on a desktop browser.

If you don't use the Simple Delivery label provided, you or your buyer will be refunded, depending on who paid for postage. At a quick glance, your items seem to have free delivery on them, so you can claim. At a quick glance too I will say that you should be operating on a business account - you won't be subject to eBay's Simple Delivery and your buyers won't have the extra fee added. You can also claim expenses via your tax return if you're selling over £1,000 worth of items per tax year - you can't claim any if you're using a private account. You've sold over 30 items so eBay will be informing HMRC of your sales.
To process your refund, we'll verify the following:
If your request meets all these conditions, you'll receive a refund for the shipping cost.

“If the buyer is within 20 miles from me I also deliver personally, usually the same day, but again eBay are charging me postage.”
Just so you realise the risks involved, unless you offer collection, in which case buyer gets a code, which would work just as well if you delivered and he gave you the code, you would not have any proof of delivery or in fact a means of marking as dispatched.
