Simple Delivery preventing buyer paying

Item sold in the UK, with a UK address also in the UK. Simple Delivery is set up with Evri as the courier. They do make deliveries in the buyer's postcode, but at a small extra charge. There does not seem to be any way amend the delivery charge to suit their postcode. As usual, eBay are no help at all, and keep pushing me to cancel the order. 

Is there any way to resolve this?

You can't change an SD label so you would have to cancel with buyer's agreement.    If buyer is in Northern Ireland or Channel Islands it's best to temporarily opt out of Evri who charge more for those areas, and use Royal Mail who charge the same as UK so less likely to cause problems.

There is an issue with Evri and some areas in the UK when using Simple Delivery,  it's a frustrating issue for many.

Not sure in placing the buyer on your ' Buyer exemption' list will help worth a try ...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/bmgt/ExemptBuyers 

 It may work,  if not,  then you are left with cancelling the order, delisting Evri,  relisting the order for the buyer to buy again with just Royal Mail as an option showing.

Cancelling will refund them selecting Problem with Buyer's address will then not harm your seller performance.

You'll need to message the buyer as to what you are going to do , apologise,  but stress it is an eBay issue affecting many sellers and buyers.

Royal Mail will deliver to UK Postcodes including Highlands, Islands and N Ireland without surcharges --- Couriers often exclude those areas or charge a premium shipping cost to deliver to so called 'Remote areas'.
