Package was heavier than estimated so no longer able to send within suggested/listed option as it was over 2 kg limit. Unable to change/update and pay extra to keep within Ebay. Had to post independently at a significant cost - over £8 - so am substantially out of pocket. Seems I have to over estimate and charge sellers more to prevent this in the future if Simple Delivery is to remain and be inflexible as it currently is. Additionally it appears that if I post later than the time given (max of 3 days) for dispatch I will be effectively fined - is this correct as my account is showing a reduction of approx £3.45 related to postage. I have been a seller for many years on Ebay but for the first time am considering ceasing to sell asap as the various new initiatives appear to be ways of penalising sellers and extracting funds in several ways which now seem to be less and less fair which is sad I think. Ebay need to re-think or risk loosing more and more loyal sellers such as myself.
