I decided last week to try listing again as Simple Delivery seems to have settled down a bit.
I have to say I like it a lot and my first two 'test' sales were very smooth, fully integrated with Royal Mail collections, and the £750 insurance and eBay assurance meant I felt encouraged to list some more.
But...
1. I listed an iPad and Simple Delivery was offered. I was very careful and checked everything before pressing 'Go' as it is all still a bit new to me. A couple of hours later I checked my listings and was surprised to see the iPad post rate had changed. Checked the listing and Simple Delivery had been replaced with T48 & T24 and it said Simple Delivery is not available for this listing. So I deleted, left it a day, tried again and Simple Delivery was again offered. It still seems to be there, but I'm worried if listings can change without me knowing. Has this happened to others or have I done something wrong?
2. I tried to list a Skincare item (pot of eye cream) and it says Simple Delivery is not available for this. That seems odd, it's £50, small parcel, pretty standard postage fare. Is Skincare really an excluded category? Or do I have a similar problem as with the iPad? I double checked the category was right. I also tried to find a similar listing but can't tell which listings are Simple Delivery and which are not.
3. I saw items to the Channel Islands are excluded from Simple Delivery. As CI, NI, H&I are all covered by Royal Mail, I'm not sure what the consequences are if someone based there buys one of my Simple Delivery items. I read the Ts&Cs but didn't see anything detailing it. If someone could help please.
Many thanks
