I have a query regarding Simple Delivery. Maybe my interpretation of what eBay state is incorrect so hopefully those more knowledgeable can enlighten me.
EBay give a list of restricted and prohibited items that aren't allowed to be posted with Simple Delivery.
Under the stamps category it states:
Stamps, any stamp or stamped document issued by a government or related official agencies, other than those that have expired for use or cannot be used to send items.
It is "cannot be used to send items" that confuses me. Most UK stamps issued since 1971 are still valid for postage and can be used to send items (letters, etc) in the post. So if I purchase such stamps -albeit for my collection rather than postage - how would a private seller send them given that eventually Simple Delivery will (unfortunately) be compulsory?

From 31 July 2023, you can't use stamps which don't have a barcode on.

You cannot postally use for postage purposes, non barcoded machins. But I am a little confused by your post are you able to cut and paste what you are reading so we can confirm matters.

That is not correct. Machin definitive stamps without bar codes are no longer valid for postage but special stamps with pictures on and Christmas stamps without a barcode continue to be valid for postage.

Simply don't send those particular ones via Simple Delivery then, it's not compulsory yet and may not be.
