Simple Delivery Postage Refund After Cancelled Order

I sold an item, then the buyer asked to cancel immediately. I pay for postage with free postage to the buyer.

I cancelled, but the Simple Delivery cost had already been taken by eBay, so I didn't have enough funds in my account to refund the full amount, so eBay took the missing amount from my credit card! This system is clearly not right.

I have searched and searched on how to get a refund for the postage. I don't have the "click on Postage Labels then void / cancel label" option because the item was never sent in the first place. There is no option anywhere to request a refund for this postage cost.

I should not be paying for this out of my own money.

Simple Delivery Postage Refund After Cancelled Order

You can receive a refund for the unused postage label here:

  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
