Shipments to USA and Tarrifs

I’m curious how others are handling the new USA tariffs.

I initially thought eBay would collect them in the same way as EU taxes, so the buyer would have a seamless experience without extra charges on delivery. But after speaking with a few providers, they advised me to only ship on DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms to the USA to avoid customs delays and issues.

I also contacted eBay customer support (after being transferred three times…) but still didn’t get a clear answer on pricing or how the charges will actually be applied. They said couriers will handle it, but when I asked if I should include the tariffs in my item price, I was told instead to add it to the postage price — which makes little sense since tariffs are a percentage of both the item and shipping cost, not a flat fee.

I’ve been selling on eBay for over 10 years, and honestly, seller support feels like it’s gone downhill. Sales are dropping, and it feels like the platform is losing its way. Without sellers, eBay wouldn’t exist, yet it feels like they’re not supporting us anymore.
