Selling.

I have advertised an item as quantity one, but there are nine available to purchase. Buyer has requested 4 and put an offer in. ebay keeps rejecting it. Have I set up the item incorrectly, as I would like to sell them to the buyer.

Your listing is set correctly for immediate/multiple purchases so I would expect it to be ok for offers.

Do you have a minimum offers accepted on your listing as if the buyers offer is below this that could be why it's being rejected.

You could list the 4 items as a new listing for the buyer at the offer price remembering to adjust the original listing quantity

Yo've set that listing up correctly.

 

Your buyer should put 4 in the quantity box and then click on the Make Offer link.

 

The offer price they need to put in is the price they're offering per item.

 

See my screenshot below when I put 4 in the quantity field and click on Best Offer, you can see 4 in the quantity box:
