Selling

When I sell something for 99p with free postage when sold eBay take 44p in fees and then I pay for postage at 87p makes me at a loss how do I solve this

The new fees and Simple Delivery changes certainly have hit lower sale priced items the hardest.

The only way round this is to group your low priced Pokemon cards together to sell, they will still weigh under 100g if under £10 in value,  you will be able to use Custom Postage for them.
