How can I search for sellers i.e. by name?

Preferably use a laptop or PC and try Chrome,  that seems to work well with eBay.

On your homepage go top right and click on Advanced.  On left side bar select By Seller.

On the right tick Specific sellers and enter seller's username.

At the bottom click on Search.

That's a shame that's how I find my ' lost sellers',  but if that didn't find the seller, then perhaps they are not selling anymore?

One more thing to try, did you purchase from them in the last 7 years?  Then,  go to your Purchase History far right click on See orders:  All . 

Select the year,  find the item purchased, and the seller's ID will be highlighted. Click on that on the right click on ....  Contact.

Again use a laptop /PC not the app.
