Hi I need some advice. Yesterday the seller contacted me to say that they have sent the wrong parcel to me. They have also contacted the other buyer to explain. The seller has asked me if I can send the parcel back to the right person and they would do the same. I am worried it may be a scam and I will lose my money. Any advice would be great

adding to the advice already given -
what the seller is asking is against eBay rules and against the law.

Nope, you do not do that, explain you will follow eBay's rules when you receive the wrong item which are:
You have received an item not as described, go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.
The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund, if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you. If they don't , need to escalate the case, ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.
Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early, and do not forget to escalate.
You need to receive a full refund for the wrongly posted item, it's up to the seller then to get back the other item and relist it , if you wish to buy it again . Of course they are relying on that buyer to send the item back to them!
Do not under any circumstance send the item when received to the other buyer, just follow the instructions above.
If a reasonable time passes and you receive nothing, then open a case for item not received, and escalate on day 4 if not refunded beforehand.

If you did as your seller asked and posted it to the other seller, you would risk not receiving any refund if the other seller failed to do the same.
Refunds are issued through eBay and you would first be required to provide tracking evidence that you had returned it to the seller. As you no longer had the item, you wouldn't be able to do this. If the seller stuck to the rules they would not have to refund you, and you wouldn't even be able to leave negative feedback.
