Seller rethinking postage costs

Hi, buyer asked if I lived in London when they found out I didn’t they are now saying they are going to have to check the postage on an item. I believe they are about to ask for more money, where do I stand? I would prefer not to pay more

They are not allowed to ask for more.  They may cancel and refund though.

The seller should stand by the postage cost advertised.

However, they can't be forced to complete the sale.

Wait and see what happens.

If they do ask for more money, you can refuse and say they should honour the postage as shown, but they may then cancel your purchase.

If that happens, personally, I would leave negative feedback, report the seller to Ebay and find a better seller.

A seller isn't allowed to charge more just because you don't live in London. You haven't told us where you do live, but if it's somewhere like the Scottish highands and islands and the item is for delivery by courier there may be a delivery surcharge.
