Yesterday i posted about a seller asking me to provide them with scans of my ID in order for the item to be shipped.
I wrote here asking for advice, and i was told to not share those scans as user verification happens through ebay and not the seller itself.
After i told the seller that i was advised to not share my ID scan, and that i requested the cancellation of the order, the seller said that to go forward with the cancellation they still needed me ID scan, adding that if i did not comply they would report me to the police.
This morning they have reported me to the Action Fraud Police.
I have reported them to ebay, and i plan on phoning action fraud, is there anything else can i do?

This sounds like a paranoid seller to me. How very silly though. After reporting them to ebay you should do nothing. What are the police going to do? laugh him out of the police station? He should be in trouble anyway if he has been collecting data from ebay members.

That sounds like a seller who's been scammed before. As long as they cancel and refund through ebay they should have confidence it's going to be OK. As they are the ones holding your money I don't think the police are going to be interested.
If they don't cancel/refund wait for the estimated delivery date on the listing to pass then open a "not received" case on ebay.

They said that they will not cancel the order, and that they have already reported me to the action fraud police.

I know, i am honestly so confused, all of this is happening over an item that is worth barely 20£.
i've been using ebay for ages, never had anything like this happen to me before.

lol, I thought the item must be worth £100s. That seller has a few problems by the sound of it, and they're nothing to do with ebay or buyers.

That is barely believable behaviour. The seller has overstepped the mark by asking you to prove your address. I cannot understand what they could possibly have reported you to Action Fraud for.
Perhaps the community team can make sure some action is taken regarding this seller.
