Seller refusing to cancel an order after 10 mins saying I'm too late - help

I raised an order for a new watch and after 10 minutes I decided it was the wrong one. I asked the seller if this would be ok and they did not reply, so I went ahead with a cancellation. They refused the request saying that I was too late. I protested but my requests went unanswered. I could understand if the item was with the Post Office and on its way but after 10 minutes, no way. Is there a way to get my money back? Payment was with Paypal (I think). I must add that my son made an offer which was accepted and the item was automatically paid for. It hasn't appeared on my Paypal account yet. Does anyone know what the procedure is to cure the problem. Your help appreciated

While buyers can ask to cancel they can't actually cancel unless the seller agrees.

If the seller accepts change of mind returns then you can return it at your cost when it arrives, if they don't, which means they are registered as a private seller, then you will have a watch to sell, or give away, or wear.

I guess that's true, I've now read up all about refunds and you're right. Thanks for reminding me
