Seller phoning my mobile !!!!!

ok so i ordered some seedling pots and they sent the wrong ones. I contacted through ebay to tell them and a day later a man phoned my mobile number and offered me the ones id received for a discount of £5 and then sent me an invoice and also the original ones id ordered. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Not only has he now got my mobile he broke the rules of selling at discount outside the safety of ebay. This is very worrying. I reported it to ebay but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this before as it breaks two ebay rules x

You should have opened a NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE and dealt with the problem using the proper system. Contacting ebay is not necessary.

When you buy and pay not only is seller given your address, your phone number is also provided. Any off ebay offers can be reported to ebay.
