Seller not responding

I ordered a set of bike helmet foam pads for my Boba Fett helmet for a cosplay. I ordered the product on the 14th February and on Monday 16th, the tracking changed to it being advised it has been sent to Royal Mail. That, however, was Monday and has not changed since.

I have contacted the seller several times, and there was nothing about them being away. I have a comic con on Sunday 22nd which I was planning to go to as Boba Fett, and I ordered from this seller as postage promised it would arrived way before Sunday with 48 hour postage. However, nothing has arrived and the seller isn’t replying.

I’ve tried to cancel my order but eBay won’t let me do so until the 23rd

You can ask to cancel an order but the seller does not have to oblige.

You can open a case for item not received one day after the item's last estimated date for delivery.

If the seller is not being helpful,  go right of the item purchased,  and from More Actions select....  I Have Not Received My Item.

If you are not fully refunded within 3 days,  you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case,  and eBay will step in and force the refund.

Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give,  and do not forget to escalate.

You can't cancel as the item has been dispatched.

What you can do is open a case for item not received one day after the expected delivery date ebay gave you when you paid.

If the item arrives after that date and is no use because it's late, you can return it as 'not as described'.

You have to build the seller's handling time into expected delivery dates, it's not just the postage service used.
