Seller isnt going to send me the item i bough

I made an offer for an item. They accepted then sent a message saying it was a mistake can they cancel. I said no they said  OK they will honour the agreement.  Suddenly they don't have it and going to send me a replacement.  Bare in mind they are still trying to selling my item I paid for at original price . This is a company btw

There is nothing to enforce a seller to send a paid for item,  have you paid?

This is bad selling did the seller give the reason why they wish to cancel?

You can of course disagree to the cancellation if they go ahead and select Buyer requests to cancel you can contact eBay Customer Services they will place a damaging  defect on their account. They have few reasons for cancellation, cancelling out of stock gives them this defect.
