Scammed (I think)

This is going to sound so silly but i bought a rather expensive item back in 2024 may, and it never arrived, a lot has happened since then and i honestly forgot about it but i just now stumbled on the old confirmation emails and the seller no longer exists on ebay. i know its VERY late but is there any shadow of hope of getting my money back?

IF you had been on the ball nearly 2 years ago, you wouldn't be in this predicament. You can kiss goodbye to that money. Ebay wont entertain it, and your bank or payment source wont be interested after this amount of time.

You should have dealt with this back in May of 2024.

The seller is no longer registered with eBay but their username appears to be a real-life business name.

There are several, similarly named real-life businesses and if you can find your seller you might theoretically be able to take legal advice about prospects for takng them to court.

This would be a long shot but if there's enough money involved you could at least take advice. Unfortunately, you haven’t helped your case by doing nothing for so long and if you lose you could end up paying the seller's legal costs as well as your own.
