I sold an iphone 11 online and the buyer stated that the handset had a cracked screen when they received it. I accepted a return, but when the handset arrived, it was a different iphone 11, same spec, but different imei and serial numbers. I have opened a case and awaiting a response from ebay and have not refunded. Should i take any other action? Is this a common occurance online?

You should also report the buyer to 'Report Fraud' - used to be Action Fraud.

You will get a reference number and adding that to your Ebay case will make your case stronger.
