Well good ol' eBay has really scored bullseye this time! There have been temporary insurrections in the past, usually following new impositions on sellers. But never before have they managed to ignite outrage in almost equal measure from both buyers and sellers!
eBay has always wanted to shake off its boot sale image and be more like Amazon. I don't think they will be too worried about small private sellers leaving, especially of low priced items. These are so disproportionally hit by the new charge that it seems a calculated disincentive to buy or sell them, in all but name a "tariff".
eBay's investors seem confident that the changes will strengthen eBay. eBay's share price today is at a three year high.

Your items are not yet subject to the BPF.
What are buyers saying when they ask for a discount?

344 sales in two calendar months is a lot for a private seller - it compares very favourably to my 33 items and, as a private seller, you do not have to buy stock or pay wages.
As stated, the extra fee from Ebay has not yet been added to the items you sell so you can't blame Ebay for potential buyers asking for silly discounts.
That has always been a feature of the site. I find if I send an offer with a 20% discount, I will get a counter offer back asking for 50% off. Everybody wants a bargain!
Obviously, selling on the site (or not) is your choice. If you find another site where you can sell over 300 fairly niche items in a couple of months, come back and let us know.
