SD and Buyer protection

So, is this correct 🤔🤔🤔🤔

With Simple Delivery and Ebay Buyer Protection, once I've dispatched an item and I have the proof of postage, Ebay take 100% responsibility for absolutely everything that goes wrong and sorts out all problems without me, the seller, getting involved with the buyer or the delivery company?

If not, why not.

Ebay will sort nothing out, you have to follow the system, not just sit back and do nothing. So long as tracking shows delivered then you are not responsible for NOT RECEIVED cases, but if no proof of delivery then you will still be responsible.

Proof of postage is just that, it is proof of delivery that is important.

You as seller are still responsible for dealing with any NOT AS DESCRIBED CASES opened.

Ebay buyer protection is exactly as it has always been, except buyer now pays for it.

Any refunds due to buyer are still paid by seller, ebay does not pay.

I understand the Not as described is my responsibility.

So why does it say this in the email from Ebay this morning.
