I brought an item off the site some time ago and had it delivered to my sisters for my nephew. It was a ride on jeep ! The item arrived but was faulty. The seller sent out a replacement but again had the same fault. This has been ongoing for a few months now. Yesterday I had a full refund from the seller and it said it could take upto 3 days !

the problem is the item was £159.99 and I’ve only received £109.99 back into my account

I can’t even get hold of a customer service agent to talk to !

what are my options please

Options through ebay?  None.

Ebay only offer a 30 day money back guarantee. When a purchase is faulty you should go for a full refund within the 30 days, as by accepting a replacement which was also faulty you are well out of time.

You're way past time to do anything via eBay now - all issues must be addressed and sorted within 30 days. To be honest you're lucky that the seller refunded something because there's nothing in place with eBay to force them to.

It's very hard to help you if you only provide vague information like "some time ago" and "been ongoing for a few months now". Surely you realise that your rights depend upon exactly when you received it, and how you paid?

It's too late now for any help from eBay - no point in speaking to customer support because once it's over 30 days from the date of delivery they will have no further interest. Ditto PayPal. You could try your credit or debit card issuer, if that's how you paid.

If you have now now received a refund from the seller you can count yourself lucky. Many buyers who haven't followed eBay or PayPal's buyer protection procedures correctly have lost their money altogether. If you haven't received the full amount you can hopefully take this up with the seller.
