Royal Mail lost my item

Hi, I sent a package(buyer paid for postage) Royal Mail tracked 48. Item arrived at Hounslow distribution centre 4 days ago and hasn’t moved since. Called Royal Mail and they said” if it hasn’t been delivered by Monday presume it’s lost and make a claim”🤢.  Would I claim through eBay because the item is worth app £500 and Royal Mail say they only cover £75. Anybody any experience with this .

As long you used eBay's Simple Delivery they cover you for up to £750.   So when estimated delivery date has passed ask the buyer to open a "not received" case then ebay will issue refund and you keep the payment.
