So I purchased a Google pixel 9 on eBay at the beginning of June and took advantage of eBay's trade-in option. I was happy with the estimate for my old phone so sent it to eBay and paid the balance via PayPal. The new phone wasn't what I wanted so I returned it to the seller but only received a refund for the balance I paid on PayPal. According to eBay they converted the trade-in into a coupon which can only be used once and it can't be refunded and they can't return my phone. Essentially, the seller for their phone back, eBay got my trade-in phone and I get nothing other than being left £208 out of pocket. I know that's theft but I can't be the only one that's experienced this surely? Absolutely furious
