I would like to return a tv unit which I ordered, due to it arriving with a broken hand and also it’s a corner unit, but unfortunately doesn’t sit into our corner well. The problem I have is that eBay have sent me a QR code for a label for £3.95, for an item weighing between 0-2kg and to take the item to a local post office. As you can imagine, this is not adequate return postage for something as large as a tv unit. I’m happy to pay the return payment, as it states. I have been in touch with the seller via eBay and they said that they were happy to accept the return as long as it was in its original packaging. I’ve sent a photo showing this, but unfortunately I’ve heard no more from them. EBay states that I need to action the return, any advise would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to contact an ebay agent via the live automated chat but it states that this service is currently unavailable. Thank you

There is, unfortunately, an issue with contacting Customer Services,  and you do need their help in reissuing a new label for you.

 

Keep trying CS,  if not available today,  try them tomorrow.  You do have 30 days from the item's last estimated date for delivery to open that case for item not as described,  select the reason....  Does Not Match Description or Photos.

If you paid the postage yourself, there is no way to get seller to pay you back, so unfortunately another of ebays problems gums up the works. 

It is all very well ebay telling you to action the return, when it is their fault that you can’t.

If you opened the return request with ebay,and the label the seller sent isn't sufficient,then escalate the case to ebay for a refund.

with eBay, I will see if I can actually get to talk to someone, I think
