Returning an item

Case:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116409328549

A buyer buys a Boss jacket from me in size UK60 = 4xl. He receives the item and makes a fuss that it is smaller than he thought (the Pit To Pit size is given in the title of the auction and then all the detailed dimensions of the item in its description- you can see it in the last two photos in the auction). He sends me an email and when I do not respond to it within one day, he gives me a negative feedback. When I explain the whole thing to him, he sends me an email in which he does not apologize and admits that the item is UK60 = 4xl (which is shown by the inside label sewn into the jacket). Finally, eBay allows him to send the item back (even though the auction is NO RETURN), and the feedback is on my page as it was. In my opinion: THE BUYER CAN DO EVERYTHING!!! This is not fair. I sell what I have here and close the account.

Try contacting Customer Services again,  but only very first thing in the  morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.  Put forward your case that the buyer is asking for something not offered,  that is a smaller sized item, when full measurements were included,  worth a shot.

One thing to remember,  when leaving a follow up feedback never leave an ' angry one'.  Future buyers will read it and it will show what kind of seller you are when faced with an issue.  Your follow up was fine explaining the details, until you added Malice.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

 https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

As said,  I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

It's supposed to be eBay's policy not to support "not as described" cases where the size is clearly displayed but the buyer says that it does not fit. eBay's guidance used to give this as an example of cases they do not support, but if it's still there I can't find it. It may be worth making a more thorough search.

If this is the only reason given by the buyer for this return you should have good grounds to appeal if eBay finds in their favour.

Returning an item

Thank you very much for your help, which was very useful to me. According
to your suggestion, I called CS and tried to explain the matter, namely I
said them:
1) The auction was "DO NOT RETURN"
2) I put up a jacket in size UK60 = 4xl at the auction, which is confirmed
by the photo of the inside label in the jacket, that the buyer sent me this
photo (this picture are also included in the auction)
3) Regardless of the above, in the title of the auction I gave the size Pit
To Pit 27" = 69 cm (it could be compared with used from buyer clothes
before the purchase
4) In the auction description I gave very precise dimensions of the item
(P2P, length, sleeve length outside and inside)
5) In the last email the buyer wrote to me that he was very sorry and that
it was indeed size 4xl, but why does it not fit him (after all, that's why
the item sizes were given)
After these explanations, today I was given the opportunity to report the
buyer that the buyer "abuses the return procedure", because one of these
points concerned the situation of returning an item that was described in
great detail in the auction (i.e. just like this)"
I described it again in detail (there are no reasons to accept the buyer's
claim, as he put it: "Wrong item sent").
This message sent to eBay. I'm waiting for a response.
I don't really know what the problem is if he received what he wanted,
which he admits (point 5 above)
As for my response to the negative feedback, there is a question mark after
the word MELICE and it refers to the situation when the buyer, without
waiting for any decision from eBay, has already placed a negative feedback.
That's why I asked if this is okay or just plain malice on the part of the
buyer, and if so, what is the reason for this if he got what he wanted?
If buyer send the item back to me, I will of course return the money to
him.

Thank you very much for your help once again.
