Returned item but not received a refund after 1 month I got a tracking number but post office states it does not have an update for me

You have to open an ebay return case and do it through ebay, it's no good just returning it without.

Ebay gives you 30 days to open a return case so if you are still in time open one now

It sounds like you may be too late, but might be worth giving it a go. If you're out of time you won't be able to escalate and probably won't get your refund. You will need your tracking number and will have to upload it into your case, you may have to contact ebay to do this. Once it shows delivered wait for your refund, which may be up to 2 days. If nothing happens you may be able to escalate your case, depending how long since you received your item.
