Return rejected and I can't leave review.

I bought an extendable curtain rail that doesn't extend. I messaged the seller a few days after I had it and tried to use and said I'd like to return, but she didn't reply. I was confused about how I return it without their help, and when I found how to do it it was after 30 days, and they declined my return request saying I had to do it before 30 days.
Plus even if I can't return it, the return request seems to have cancelled out my ability to leave them a review. How can I still leave them a review if there's no tab to leave a review now?
If they send defective items, isn't that covered under statutory rights?
I want to warn other people that they send defective products and don't care, but can't see how to leave a review now.

You should still be able to leave feedback - look in your list of purchases, it should be there.

You do only have 30 days to start a return through Ebay but you can still try your payment provider.

If you used a bank or credit card, see if you can start a chargeback on the grounds that you received an item which was not fit for purpose.

Probably, if the seller is a UK registered business seller. You can consult citizens advice, but your statutory consumer rights are only as good as your ability to enforce them. For a curtain rail? I doubt it.

As it's over 30 days it is also too late to file a dispute through PayPal, but if you paid by a credit or debit card you can ask whether your card issuer can help.

Never expect buying on eBay to be like buying from the shops. eBay even warns buyers in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions". Would you buy from a shop that stated this? Buying from unknown sellers here is always risky. eBay is a jungle.
