Return not fit for purpose

Had a request for buyer to return a vintage ring £140 as ‘not fit for purpose’ they say it has piece of the ring which is scratchy & unwearable- this is completely false. I know I will probably have to accept the return to get ring back & if they have damaged try to claim afterwards but my problem is ebay had marked the ring for simple delivery but I hadn’t realised so as it won’t be covered as jewellery I paid for special delivery & took the loss, requesting ebay refund the simple delivery to buyer as not used.
Now if I accept return will it automatically issue another simple delivery label or will I get to chose - don’t want to be stung again for more postage than necessary:(

Return not fit for purpose

Your buyer paid for the outgoing Simple Delivery label, so if you chose not to use it and buy your own RM Special Delivery label it I'm afraid they'll receive the refund for the unused label.

You will need to issue a returns label if you want your ring back.

Return not fit for purpose

It’s the return label I’m mainly concerned with, I don’t want to accept the return to then not be given option to chose how it’s returned & ebay issue a simple delivery return label which is unusable

Never had a buyer try to return before so not sure how these return labels are issued

(Had already accepted that the postage for sending item to buyer was being refunded to buyer & had cost me but wanted to ensure safe delivery)
