Return item too bulky for royal mail to accept, how to change to parcelforce

Trying to return a TV that I bought as a surprise for a family member as it is too big, item has not been opened. Selected royal mail as the return option only to discover this just means the normal postman is supposed to collect it which isn't going to work, the dimensions exceed what they can accept. I'm not sure why it was even displayed as an option, it didn't mention these dimensions restrictions anywhere. I should've chosen parcelforce instead. No option to change return option on ebay now and if I cancel I won't be able to begin the process again. The seller has been totally unresponsive to my messages. How do I fix this (change from royal mail to parcelforce return) without doing it outside of eBay? I still want it to be tracked by eBay, I don't want to risk sending it back to the seller just for him to claim he never received it thus keeping the product and the money

If it is too big, then that is a change of mind and you are responsible for paying the postage.

As long as you have opened a case through Ebay, you can arrange to return the TV through Parcelforce.

If you can't manually update the tracking in the case, then you can contact Ebay Customer Services by getting a callback and ask them to update the tracking for you.
