Return issues

Hi, everyone.  I have a problem were my return has been closed. I brought a refurbished phone off Ebay, in the advertising it said it was in excellent condition, (which from their ratings ment everything is working. I brought the phone as a christmas present for my brother . I recieved delivery of the phone on the 13th dec, I was given 30 days to return it but my brother didn't tell me it wasn't working until the 11th January. I sent a message to the seller on the 12th Jan to let them know it wasn't working. I got a message back saying to return the item, when I started a return through eBay, it was closed very quickly with no reason given. I messaged the seller asking why it had been closed, seller answered that it was over the 30 days. I then answered and said you have sold me a phone that is not fit for purpose and wrongly advertised as excellent condition. When I added up the days, I found that I had actually informed them of the problem on the 30th day. I've gone to take the case up with ebay and gone to the return details but there is nothing there showing that action.

Can anyone help.

The case has to be started within 30 days of delivery.   You can contact ebay and see if they will do anything.  

 

Click on the help link at the top of any page.  Select any topic then scroll down to Contact Us and get to automated assistant.  Ask to speak to an agent and repeat until it passes you to a real person.

 

If they can't help contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback.
