I bought parts for my car via eBay motors it gave me green tick parts fit however they don't so why do I have to pay to have the wrong parts returned

You wouldn't pay if you used "not as described" as the reason for return. If you used "doesn't fit" that is classed as a "change of mind" return where buyer pays postage.
You can contact ebay about changing the reason. Unlikely but worth a try. Request a callback on here:

Unfortunately not as described in eBay cases , is not the same as does not fit.
If this is a Private seller who has a No Returns on their listings, they do not have to accept any return for the reason.... Does not Fit.
Open a case for item not as described, citing Item Does Not Match the Photos or Description, the seller Has to accept this and fully refund the buyer.
It's a vast difference when it comes to trying to claim a refund in eBay.
